English Heritage are producing a new version of Practical Building Conservation, which originally came out in 1988. The new 10 volume set is much larger and with numerous colour illustrations. The first five volumes, Stone, Timber, Glass & Glazing, Metals, Mortars, Renders & Plasters are available now, with the rest available in September 2012. They provide a comprehensive and practical reference source for those involved in the restoration, maintenance or repair of historic buildings.
