Fireplaces : Inglenooks & Chimney Repair

One of the oldest and most characterful forms of fireplaces is the inglenook fireplace. Please ensure your contractors never sandblast the inglenooks beams, as these usually have much history such as witches marks, taper burns etc which will be lost in the sandblasting.

Established in 1963, this family business specialises in the full restoration of inglenook fireplaces, throughout the UK. They use lime mortars and carefully selected reclaimed bricks, stone and timber beams to ensure full authenticity in our restoration work. Often where very little of the original fireplace remains, a detailed investigation has revealed enough evidence to enable them to re-create the fireplace to its original splendour. They also investigate smoking problems and if necessary can supply and fit black steel canopies.
