Brick paviors and pavers are used for footpaths, usually a hard red brick. In some towns such as Tunbridge Wells, they are found on many pavements In the past, Southwater were well known for production of these pavers, though they are no longer made there. Early handmade version were also used for internal flooring and have a lot of character. In the 19th century Staffordshire Blue pavers were used, for areas such as stable yards.
